Businesses from across Worcestershire and Herefordshire are set to benefit from a series of workshops designed to update them on employment law legislation and human resource issues.
The one-day sessions, to be held on 3rd November and next March, will be hosted by experts from law firm mfg Solicitors in partnership with Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce.
Led by mfg’s employment and HR experts Sally Morris, Darryll Thomas and Samantha Haller-Evans, the interactive workshops will help businesses stay on the right side of legislation when it comes to issues such as the national living wage, holiday pay calculations, the working time directive and absence procedures.
The programme will also include advice on recruitment strategies, handling sensitive personnel issues and managing inappropriate behaviour.
Sally Morris, partner and head of mfg’s employment and HR services division, said: “Our workshops are the latest in our programme of events and are all about working with local businesses, large or small, to keep them on top of employment law changes.
“The sessions will also tackle some best practice examples when it comes to employee relations and complex HR issues. They are workshops we’re delighted to be hosting with the team at the Chamber of Commerce. They are always popular with business leaders as they go away prepared for the future and confident they can deal with a number of employment or personnel issues.”
Mike Ashton, chief executive of Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce added: “Our programme of employment law workshops discuss relevant topics and are proving extremely useful for those who need an overview of new legislation which is likely to affect them.
“Employment law is a specialist subject and these sessions are key for employers in Worcestershire and Herefordshire to keep themselves updated.”
The 3rd November event is now sold out but places are available to book for the workshop on 31st March next year. For further details readers can email email@example.com.
