You are invited to join the Worcester Royals at Mode Worcester on Sunday, February 1st to watch America’s biggest game and sporting occasion, the Super Bowl.
The University of Worcester’s American football team is joining up with Mode Worcester to bring you the action live on numerous screens across the premises, in what will be the best Super Bowl party in town. With kickoff scheduled for 11.30pm, free entry (18+only,) shirt giveaways, drink deals and a range of food options; popcorn, hotdogs and an American buffet.
This year sees reigning Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks, take on the New England Patriots, a matchup that pits the up-and-coming Seahawks star-quarterback Russell Wilson against one of the greatest of all time in New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
“We’re excited to be working with Play At Mode to create Worcester’s premier Super Bowl event.” Said Worcester Royals Chairman Ryan Brown.
“If you’re new to American football or if you’re already a fan of the game, it’s a great opportunity to take in the occasion with the team in what will be a great atmosphere.”
The Royals, who won three of their first four games of their 2014/15 British University Championships (BUCS) campaign, are preparing for a second half of the season in which they need to win all of their games to keep playoff qualification hopes alive.
Two remaining home fixtures; February 15th vs. the Leicester Longhorns and February 22nd vs. the Nottingham Trent University Renegades, will be played at the Moors Playing Field, Worcester (WR1 3EE) and will kick off at 1pm. Games are free to attend and all will be welcomed.
Any changes to fixtures and kickoff times, as well as regular updates from the team, will be posted by the team’s official social media, @WorcesterRoyals on Twitter and /WorcesterRoyalsPage on Facebook – those attending a game are encouraged to share their experience of Worcester’s American football team.
