This week saw Worcester based GD PR & Media announce the launch of a specialist marketing and PR team to serve the education sector.
Childcare in particular has been high on the news agenda recently and the new service will aim to offer a cost-effective Marketing and PR service to meet the unique and individual needs of children’s nurseries, primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities.
Leading the specialist education team will be Samantha James (pictured left) who has previously worked as Education Correspondent for the Worcester News and who has brought a wealth of sector knowledge to the company since her appointment in 2014.
Formed in 2011 and located in the St Johns area of the city, GD PR & Media offers a range of services including Marketing and Public Relations, Video Production, Graphic & Website Design, Social Media, Internal Communications and Crisis Management. Director Gillian Davies (pictured right) explained the reasons behind the move:
‘We are basing this move into the Education sector on the same values of honesty, efficiency and high quality customer service that have enabled us to work with a number of leading local and national organisations.
This was the logical next step for GD PR & Media and has been in our plans for some time. We have largely specialised in the Health and Social Care sector for over five years now and with the close similarities between the two sectors, the tangible benefits we can offer to children’s nurseries in particular are significant. This could be in terms of supporting occupancy, recruitment and raising their profile in the local area.
We are parents ourselves and we are excited to be able to offer our services to another sector that we are truly passionate about, both through supporting providers and through raising the profile of the largely undervalued sector as a whole.’
