A NEW fundraiser has joined the team at Primrose Hospice and is excited to speak to businesses in Redditch and Bromsgrove.
Abi Coulson joins the charity from Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice and brings with her a wealth of knowledge as a Corporate Fundraiser.
The 24-year-old is looking to speak to any local businesses interested in finding out more about hospice care.
She is also looking to discuss how supporting a Bromsgrove and Redditch charity is not only beneficial for their business but also has a hugely positive impact on their colleagues and the community who the hospice supports.
Abi said: “I am absolutely thrilled to join the team at Primrose and can already see the big difference the charity makes within the local community.
“I’ve enjoyed meeting my new colleagues and hearing about the important work the charity has done over the last year continuing to provide free care and bereavement support to patients and families in north east Worcestershire, at the times when they need it the most.
“I’m really looking forward to working with businesses in Redditch and Bromsgrove and getting to know how their businesses work and how we can support them as a chosen charity.
“I appreciate that every business is individual and works differently so I would love the chance to create a bespoke partnership package together and marry up how it would work logistically with their brand.
“Working in partnership with a charity can create a great sense of community in a workplace and boost morale whether that’s getting people involved in fundraising, community events or volunteering.”
Sally Insley, Fundraising Manager at Primrose Hospice, said she was delighted to welcome Abi to the team.
“Abi brings with her a wealth of experience working alongside businesses to make sure that both they and Primrose benefit from their fundraising endeavours.
“She will be looking after those businesses who already provide fantastic support to Primrose as well as looking forward to meeting those who haven’t yet supported the charity.
“Please do get in touch with her even if initially it is just to say hello and welcome Abi to Redditch and Bromsgrove.”
Primrose Hospice supports about 1,000 people each year in Redditch, Bromsgrove and the surrounding areas with services such as clinical hospice care, bereavement support and wellbeing.
Primrose’s services are free to patients and families however the charity must raise just under £1.5million independently through fundraising events, grants and donations.
Abi is happy to meet with businesses either over Zoom or in person following covid-19 guidelines.
