Are you feeling isolated and misunderstood? ASPIE, founded by an Aspie, is a social group for adults with Asperger’s Syndrome in Worcestershire and beyond. We are pleased to welcome new members and provide a low pressure environment in which to relax, socialise, play games, access the internet or just ‘be’ without having to pretend to fit in.
The success of ASPIE is important because for so long adults with Asperger’s, a hidden disability, have been forgotten but we know that with friendship and understanding, our members are escaping isolation and succeeding in higher education, holding down jobs and enjoying the everyday activities that most non-aspies take for granted.
ASPIE is open every Wednesday in Worcester city centre from 1pm to 9pm and Saturdays 1pm to 5pm. Members come from all over Worcestershire plus Coventry, Birmingham, Hereford and Ludlow with approximately 30-40 attending each week. The age range is 18 to 70 plus.
Our activities are expanding, please see www.aspie.org.uk for more information. Please phone or email for encouragement or visit, alone or accompanied, or send your agent to check us out.
