West Worcester Live at Home Scheme helps older people maintain their independence by providing them with a variety of services and support, including: twice weekly lunch clubs, fortnightly escorted shopping, befriending, trips, monthly afternoon teas, exercise classes and sing-alongs.
By promoting independence, wellbeing and health we aim to relieve the pressure on local services. Many of our members, the majority of which are over 80 years of age, come to us after being referred by social workers, dementia advisors, mental health officers, AgeUK Reconnections, or family.
Most will have been either socially isolated or will have been experiencing difficulties managing at home. We aim to give our members whatever practical and social support they need to continue to live in their own homes.
