Teams have today been announced for Worcestershire Cricket’s Street Sixes cricket tournament which takes place on Monday 10 July in Worcester city centre.
This 2nd annual competition of softball cricket is being played in Angel Place and Broad Street on the afternoon of 10 July 2017, with 24 teams of Worcestershire businesses confirmed.
Teams include two from event sponsors the Worcestershire Ambassadors, as well as David Lloyd and BMW, Modus, Sanlam, Police, Tesco, Santander and many more.
Street Sixes is raising funds to take cricket into disadvantaged communities, where young people have limited opportunities, and is being sponsored by the Worcestershire Ambassadors as one of their support programme of community initiatives.
Tom Hill is a trustee at Worcestershire Cobham Cricket Trust who is running Street Sixes: “As well as raising funds to support disadvantaged young people, this is an original and fun team building exercise, for staff, colleagues, clients and suppliers to get together as a team, whilst having fun, networking and raising funds for a great cause. We are delighted to today be announcing the teams and wish them all the very best of luck on 10 July!”
