Local builders’ merchants Thompson & Parkes were delighted to join Wolverley Animal Centre’s celebrations at their Community Thank you Afternoon.

Having assisted with the supply of a range of building materials to help them build their new African House, Thompson & Parkes were delighted to see the new African House up and running with its first inhabitants, meerkats Marvin and Lucky and to hear about further developments planned.

Centre Manager at Wolverley Animal Centre, Lucy Cull commented: “Thompson & Parkes have been incredibly supportive and engaged with our projects and it is great to work with a local supplier who takes an interest in the community.

“Their generosity has ensured that our projects have been completed to a high standard and ensured that our animals have the best accommodation possible.”

An established family builders’ merchant based in Kidderminster and Oreton, and with a DIY shop in Stourport, local employer Thompson & Parkes has helped a number of local schools, nurseries and charities with a variety of projects and is always willing to invest in and support local community projects in the areas in which they operate.

Thompson & Parkes General Manager, Gary Watts, said: “We were pleased to be invited to their community afternoon and to see just how much they’ve achieved developing the centre over recent months, and of course to see their new African House up and running and meet Marvin and Lucky.

“As a local business we are happy to offer our support to Wolverley Animal Centre and pleased that we could help with the materials they needed for their new African House.”
