Leading Independent Connections Provider, Rock Power Connections, have finalised the installation of a new electricity supply for The Pig at Bridge Place, a newly launched luxury hotel.
Based just outside of Canterbury, The Pig at Bridge Place is a Grade 1 listed Jacobean Mansion, which required extensive renovation works prior to opening its doors to the public on 30thApril.
This included the installation of a new substation, where the Rock Power Connections team had to route the cable a considerable distance down a narrow village lane, taking into account many tree preservation orders.
Reece James, Operations Director, explained: “The Rock Power Connections team and I are extremely pleased to have worked with the team at The Pig, and although a challenging and complex job, the installation was completed on time and with residents considered at all times, whilst ensuring the development was completed to the highest possible standard.”
Fast-becoming one of the Midland’s leading Independent Connections Providers, Rock Power Connections were appointed to facilitate the conversion of the hotel, installing a 315kVA package substation with a 600A cut-out on the outskirts of the building.
During completion, the team ensured the utmost care was taken to minimise disruption to the local residents, with part of the construction developed at the joint pit, which is located right outside the village pub doorway.
Darren Huxley, the Project Manager commented: “On paper the project had some challenging aspects due to the rural village location and the remote positioning of the substation. During completion, the team and I ensured that the local residents were kept onboard with all aspects of the project, with air-tight planning and communication and overall, we are very pleased with the final outcome.”
